Benjamin’s Journey to Debreuck Neirynck
Let’s start with a closer look at Benjamin’s professional path. Studied a bachelor’s degree in Electronics-ICT at Odisee University of Applied Sciences, Benjamin kicked off his professional career at a software company, where he mainly focused on the development of mobile applications. However, Benjamin felt the challenge was too little.
Based in Roeselare, he really soon got in touch with the people of Debreuck Neirynck. Since high-quality work and a constant need for learning are of paramount importance for both Benjamin and Debreuck Neirynck, it immediately became clear there was a fit between the two sides. Benjamin has been working for Debreuck Neirynck for about four years now as a Sr. Java Developer.
Wide Variety of Assignments
Considering Benjamin’s high level of expertise and experience, he’s involved in a wide range of assignments at Debreuck Neirynck, going from major companies such as mateco (TVH Group) to smaller and medium-sized enterprises. Let’s depict some of his most remarkable projects.
mateco (TVH Group): Started at mateco, there was a large bunch of different teams, but lack of a robust interface in order to communicate in a proper way with each other. Benjamin provided the right interfaces, to ensure a flawless communication process.
Quality Guard: Quality Guard, for short Qguard, aimed to create an application for the maintenance of food security, allergens and nutritional values. Debreuck Neirynck is in charge for the back office, creating a database of retail products and recipes. The latter has to be validated, in accordance to the rules as determined by the government, by a team of dieticians. In this way, ‘food security’ proof labels can be printed for the retail products.
Flanders Road Services: For this transport and logistics company, Benjamin mainly focuses on making translations between several REST API calls, as a gateway is required.

An Ever-evolving Developer
It might be clear Benjamin feels very comfortable in his role as Sr. Java Developer. For now, he aims to deepen his knowledge and expertise, using a broad range of new technologies. He absolutely wants to avoid that his skill set becomes outdated. Debreuck Neirynck strives to deliver high-performing solutions, something Benjamin really want to contribute to.
And it seems Benjamin’s expectations are pretty well facilitated by Debreuck Neirynck. Providing their employees with training and workshop opportunities, a lot of internal knowledge sharings and monthly team updates, it should be clear that knowledge expansion is central.
It’s a long way to the top, but Debreuck Neiryck seems to be on the right track already!
